(Qatar Consulate Booth at HK Book Fair)

In our continued efforts to engage with the Hong Kong society, the Consulate General has participated in the 2022 Hong Kong Book Fair by HKTDC, which took place between July 20 to 26 and received a turnout of more than 800,000 visitors.

Despite the first-time participation in this grand event, the Consulate General’s booth received tumultuous success in terms of visitor numbers; and by the end of the fair, we have managed to further enhance the Hong Kong public exposure to the State of Qatar, its nature, culture, economy and tourism, all and more presented by the numerous Qatari publications showcased in our booth.

The Consulate General has also taken this opportunity to engage the growing worldwide excitement for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 scheduled to be held between Nov. 21 to Dec. 18, by setting up a dedicated section for the tournament, showcasing models for all 8 stadiums designated by the State of Qatar to host the World Cup matches. This section received exceptional turnout from visitors of all ages throughout the event.

We have also taken this opportunity to interact with the visitors, by giving them the opportunity to receive a souvenir of their name written in Arabic, as well as conducting a lucky draw for the visitors for a chance to receive a number of exclusive souvenirs for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar.

The winners of the lucky draw were invited to our Consulate General to receive their won souvenirs after the end of the Hong Kong Book Fair.
