Hong Kong December 14, 2022- The Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Hong Kong held a dinner reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar.
The ceremony was attended by The Honourable  Mr Eric Chan, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, as a guest of honor and representative of the Government of Hong Kong, as well as the Deputy Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong Mr. Pan Yundong, in addition to government officials, heads of diplomatic missions, and a number of dignitaries from various sectors in Hong Kong. 

His Excellency Ali bin Saad Al-Hajri, Consul General of the State of Qatar, delivered a speech on the development of bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and Hong Kong on the one hand, and the People's Republic of China on the other hand, he also shed the light on the success of the State of Qatar in hosting and delivering the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The guest of honor, The Honourable Mr Eric Chan, also delivered a speech on the great development witnessed in the relations between the State of Qatar and the Hong Kong SAR, and congratulated the State of Qatar for its achievements in various fields.

The celebration included several displays reflecting the achievements of Qatar and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, along with audiovisual displays and live performances for the guests. Our partners: Qatar Airways, QNB and Qatar Tourism Beijing Office had booths within the celebration to represent Qatar. The celebration also saw the contribution of MMITA company which presented to guests a special AR experience, as they took photos that placed them next to iconic Qatari landmarks.

Qatar National Day celebration concluded with a lucky draw ceremony, where a number of guests received generous giveaways courtesy of: Qatar Airways, QNB, Qatar Tourism and Rosewood Hong Kong.
