Citizens should take care during the typhoon season which lasts from May to November. Warning Signals may be issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Most shops will close and public services including flights at the airport may be suspended if warning signal (8) or above is raised.
Typhoon Warning Signals:
- 1 :Standby
- 3 :Strong Wind
- 8 :Gale or Storm
- 9 :Increasing Gale or Storm
- 10 :Hurricane
