Qatar Financial Center Signs Agreements with Leading Russian Institutions to Promote Investment and Innovation

Qatar Financial Center (QFC) signed six memorandum of understanding and a letter of intent with reputable Russian institutions in the fields of investment, technology and innovation, on the sidelines of the 24th edition of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021. The signed agreements aim to encourage investment in the growing business environment in the State of Qatar, as all the memorandum of understanding that were signed focused on strengthening long-term trade and investment cooperation between Qatar and Russia.



Al-Sharq, Al-Raya Commend Qatar's Successful Participation in St. Petersburg Forum

In their editorials Sunday, Qatari dailies Al-Sharq and Al-Raya highlighted the Qatari participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which gave an important dimension to the Qatari-Russian relations, and opened new horizons for bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stressed that the State of Qatar has a wise leadership and a clear vision to be a reliable partner for peace and security in the region and the world, saying that Qatar has been a facilitating country and a mediator between the various conflicting parties and has proven its success for decades in this field, and it is not something new for Qatar but a continuation of the same path. This came during his participation in a session entitled "West Asia and North Africa.. Paths Towards Stability and Prosperity," which was organized by the Doha Forum during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021.
