Doha, July 06 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers, Al-Raya and Al-Sharq, underlined in their editorials Saturday the significance of the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the United States on Monday and HH meeting with US President Donald Trump and senior officials at the US administration.

The Qatari dailies stressed that the visit is a remarkable development in the path of the strategic cooperation between the two countries, which is witnessing a continuous progress given the consensus of the two visions of the two countries on several regional and international issues, foremost of which is terrorism.

For its part, Al-Raya daily affirmed the importance of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to the United States and HH summit with US President Donald Trump, noting that the visit would boost further the bilateral relations and open up promising horizons of cooperation in all economic, defense and security fields.

The visit and the outcome of the meetings that will be held with senior officials at the US administration and the Congress, as well as the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding in the fields of defense, energy, investment and air transport, will demonstrate the strength and depth of the Qatar-US relations, undermining the schemes of the blockading countries and their futile attempts to spoil the relations between the two countries with false and baseless allegations and fabrications, Al-Raya said.

The outcome of the visit will also consolidate the continuous political consolation between the two countries on regional and international issues, reflecting the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries and the joint keenness on developing this partnership in all areas of common interest, the paper added.

The upcoming visit of HH the Amir to Washington and the outcome of HH meetings with the US President and senior officials affirm that Qatar and the United State have succeeded to establish a joint vision for the future of their strategic partnership in politics, economy, military and the fight against terrorism, Al-Raya concluded.

Meanwhile, Al-Sharq newspaper highlighted the strength and depth of the relations between the State of Qatar and the United States, because of the vital and important role of both countries in achieving peace and prosperity and the fight against terrorism, stressing that upcoming visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Washington and HH summit with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday would further promote the strategic cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields.

The paper also underlined the importance of HH the Amir's visit which will include meetings with senior officials at the US administration and the Congress, as well as signing agreements and memorandums of understanding in the fields of defense, energy, investment and air transport.

Al-Raya noted that "Vision 2014" reflects the strength of the strategic alliance of the two countries, especially after the second round of the strategic dialogue which was held in Doha in January, as both countries agree on many issues, and on consolidating dialogue and cooperation in the fields of economy, investment and energy, in addition to the defensive partnership that enhance security and stability in the region.

The White House summit between HH the Amir and the US President will be a strategic cooperation summit that will constitute a qualitative leap at all levels and in all areas, indicating that the historic relations between the two counties continue to develop and flourish to serve the joint interests of the two countries, Al-Sharq stressed.
