Doha, September 03 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers highlighted in their editorials Thursday the affirmation of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, during his meeting on Wednesday with HE Senior Advisor to the US President Jared Kushner, of the State of Qatar's position that calls for a just settlement of the Palestinian cause on the basis of international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, as well as the basis of the two-state solution in a way that achieves security and stability in the region.
The papers affirmed that this position has always been characterized by consistency and firmness with international legitimacy resolutions, Arab resolutions and the rights of the Palestinian people, and from this standpoint Qatar has always provided political, economic and humanitarian support to all the Palestinian people, based on moral and humane principles and values that have always been the prime mover of the Qatari policy.
Al-Raya newspaper said in its editorial that HH the Amir's affirmation to Kushner of the position of the State of Qatar is a renewal of the State's firm and supportive principles towards the Palestinian cause, given that Qatar realizes that the settlement of the Palestinian cause depends on the implementation of international legitimacy resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative and on the basis of the two-state solution, because within that, security and stability in the region will be achieved.
The paper stressed that the Qatari stances towards the Palestinian cause, which is the central issue for Arabs, remained clear, just as Qatar continued to support all efforts and endeavors of the peace process and welcomed all efforts made to find solutions to the Palestinian cause within the framework of international legitimacy and relevant United Nations resolutions that lead to solutions that are reached by both parties, under UN and regional auspices.
HH the Amir's renewal and affirmation of these stances comes within the framework of these supportive positions as well as a confirmation of continuing Qatari support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, the paper added, pointing out that this support will not stop until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, given that the Palestinian cause will always be present in the hearts and thoughts of the people of Qatar.
Al-Raya concluded its editorial by affirming that the State of Qatar will continue to stand with the Palestinian right as it will continue to refuse the intrusion of any regime or entity to act in the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, or to give up any inch of the occupied territories, or to impose an opinion or a unilateral solution, given than these rights are not the subject of negotiation, as their restoration comes only with the concerted Arab efforts and the full Arab support for the Palestinian people.

Al-Watan recalled HH the Amir's speeches before international organizations and in all his meetings and discussions with international officials on this policy and on the need to reach a just, comprehensive and sustainable solution to the Palestinian cause.
Al-Watan concluded its editorial by saying that resolving this issue according to the foundations agreed upon and accepted by the international community will be the most important step for resolving all other issues in the Middle East region and the start of a new era entitled security and stability for all, the foremost of which is the Palestinian people.
Al-Sharq Thursday's editorial underlined the State of Qatar's firm position that calls for a just settlement of the Palestinian cause on the basis of international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative and on the basis of the two-state solution in a way that achieves security and stability in the region, stressing that it is time for the Palestinians to win their legitimate rights.
The Qatari daily hailed the State of Qatar's efforts in order to reach calm in the Gaza Strip, in an important step that guarantees the empowerment of donor countries and international organizations, at the forefront the State of Qatar, to implement their humanitarian projects in Gaza Strip without any obstacles.
The newspaper stressed that the Justice of the Palestinian cause found support from the United Nations and all international and regional organizations, because it is an issue of existence and not borders, adding that the Palestinian people have the right to enjoy security, peace, stability and a better life on their land and safeguard their sanctities.
The paper said that the suffering of the Palestinian people should end and the world should stand with them, and work to lift the unjust blockade of the Gaza Strip, pointing to the complicated humanitarian conditions in the Strip in light of the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and at a time when the world is facing challenges that threaten international peace and security.
In conclusion Al-Sharq said that the Palestinians, through their sacrifices and struggle, are able to determine their own destiny and establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and this is a right guaranteed by all international conventions. (QNA)
