Doha, October 01 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers underlined in their editorials Thursday HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's participation in the funeral prayer for HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and HH's condolences to HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

HH the Amir's participation in the funeral prayer and his condolences came to reflect not only the depth of the fraternal relations between HH the Amir, HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad and HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad as well as the two countries' peoples, but also the loyalty of HH the Amir to HH Sheikh Sabah.

The newspapers stressed that the memory of HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, his stances, wisdom and vision will remain present, and that HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, will continue to strengthen Kuwait's position.

For its part, Al-Watan said that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani participated Wednesday in the funeral prayer for HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad at Bilal bin Rabah Mosque in Kuwait, and offered condolences to HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The newspaper also referred to the Cabinet's regular meeting held Wednesday under the chairmanship of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, in which it mourned with great sadness and sorrow HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the voice of wisdom, the symbol of values and principles, and the advocate of dialogue, who was truly an inspiring and an exceptional leader who worked hard and sincerely for the sake of the elevation of his country and the advancement of his people, exerted his effort, thought and wisdom in the service of peace, stability and solidarity in the region and the promotion and development of joint Gulf action, and defended with strength and faith the issues of the Arab and Islamic nations and the issues of humanity as a whole, so he deserved the highest levels of respect and appreciation and this high position inside and outside his country.

The absentee funeral prayer for the late HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad has took place in all mosques in the country after Ishaa prayer on Wednesday, which reflects the feelings of great appreciation and respect that Qatar's leadership, government and people bear for the late nation's deceased, who left a great and unforgettable human legacy, Al-Watan added.

Concluding, Al-Watan expressed its confidence that this great legacy will inspire generations, not only in Kuwait, but in the entire world, and that the values and principles of the nation's deceased, who has put his effort, thought and wisdom in the service of peace and stability, will be a bright sign in Kuwait's rich history. 

In its editorial today, Al-Raya stressed that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's participation in the funeral prayer for the late HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in Kuwait City reflects the unique position that the late Amir occupies in the hearts of the people of Qatar for his honorable stances towards Qatar which appeared during the Gulf crisis.

HH the Amir was keen to console the brotherly Kuwaiti people on this great deceased, as the Islamic and Arab nations lost an exceptional man who was a symbol of peace and diplomacy and a voice of reason and wisdom amid turmoil and crises, the paper said.

The paper underlined that HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad left a clear mark on the march of joint Gulf, Arab and Islamic action, and was keen to strengthen and develop the Qatari-Kuwaiti relations to serve the interests of the Qatari and Kuwaiti peoples and the interests of the Gulf region and the Arab and Islamic nations.

The paper also noted the Amiri Diwan's announcement that the absentee funeral prayer for the late HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad would take place in all mosques in the country after Ishaa prayer yesterday, pointing out that Qatars leadership, government and people will not forget the late Amirs positive stances that spare the region a dangerous crisis.

Qatari-Kuwaiti relations, the paper said, are a vivid example of integration, solidarity and cooperation between brothers, not only in the Arab Gulf region, but in the entire Arab world, as these relations are based on strong and solid foundations, brotherhood and a common destiny.

The Qatari daily said that the sisterly State of Kuwait is beginning a new era that will bring more goodness, growth and development to the people in Kuwait, noting that HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will continue the march of the rulers who preceded him, in achieving the elevation and strength of Kuwait, respecting the constitution, promoting democratic values and keeping Kuwait away from crises by adopting a policy of positive neutrality and finding political solutions to all crises and tragedies of the region and the world.

The paper also referred to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's congratulations to his brother HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad on the occasion of taking the oath as the Amir of the State of Kuwait, wishing him success, and the brotherly Kuwaiti people further progress and prosperity.

In conclusion, Al-Raya stressed that the smooth transfer of power in Kuwait affirms the country's political and security stability, and that Kuwait is a state of institutions that has established a distinct political system, although it has been exposed throughout its long history to serious challenges and difficult ordeals which were overcome through collaboration among its leaders and people.

For its part, Al-Sahrq newspaper affirmed that the participation of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in the funeral prayer for HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and HH's condolences to HH the Amir of the sisterly State of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, come to reflect the depth of the brotherhood between HH the Amir and HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad as well as HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, in addition to the Qatari and Kuwaiti people.

This also reflects the loyalty of HH the Amir to HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, whom Qatar has always seen as loyal and wise, the paper said.

HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad will remain forever in the memories for his stances, wisdom and vision, not only in the mediation he initiated in the crisis of withdrawing ambassadors in 2014, or the Gulf crisis in 2017, but he was the first to participate in the ceremony when HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani took over the reins of power in 2013, accompanied the journey of Qatar in all its stages of the renaissance, and supported the State of Qatar in many humanitarian initiatives and diplomatic mediation, making him most deserving of the title of the Amir of Humanity and Sheikh of Diplomats, the paper said in its editorial.

It is not odd to note that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was the only leader who attended the funeral prayer for the deceased of Kuwait, Qatar, the Arab and Islamic nations and the deceased of all humanity, the paper pointed out.

Because Kuwait is the land of wise leaders, another wise leader, HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has taken the reins of power after HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, as he has always been helpful and supportive of HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, the paper added.

Al-Sharq concluded its editorials by saying that HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will continue to strengthen Kuwait's position amidst a world full of political upheavals and fluctuations, and everyone is confident that the states of Qatar and Kuwait will be able to write a new chapter of fraternal relations that reflect growth, stability and security for the benefit of the peoples of the region.
