Al-Watan Highlights Role of Investment Promotion Agency Qatar

Doha, March 27 (QNA) - Qatari newspaper Al-Watan underlined Saturday that the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (IPA Qatar) has been exerting unremitting efforts in cooperation with its partners to enhance the inflows of foreign direct investment into Qatar.

Al-Watan noted that the efforts of IPA Qatar are supported by the use of innovative technology to improve products or processes, by linking all components of industry and supply chains within a smart technological system, as well as the health care and the logistics services sectors, in addition to other sectors such as virtual education, information and communication technology and the artificial intelligence in general, which are key areas in terms of Qatar's ongoing economic diversification plan.

The paper highlighted the statements of HE CEO of the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al-Thani in which he affirmed that the Qatari economy is consolidating its position globally through new partnerships that help advance the business system, thanks to the new regulatory and legal changes related to the continuous development of economic legislation, becoming more attractive and flexible.

Al-Watan noted that the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar, which was founded in July 2019, works to increase foreign direct investment inflows into the State of Qatar, to help achieve Qatar National Vision 2030 and implement the economic diversification strategy in Qatar.

The paper added that IPA Qatar oversees investment promotion activities under the "Invest Qatar" brand through close coordination with other investment platforms such as Qatar Financial Center, Qatar Free Zones Authority, Qatar Science and Technology Park and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
