Doha, April 05 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber held a press conference to announce about the Industrial Investment Opportunities Forum which will be held on December 6, 2021.
Organized by Azem Project Development Company, the forum is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Qatar Chamber.
Addressing the press conference, CEO of the Organizing Company Mohammed bin Saleh Al Kuwari said that the forum comes within the framework of the private sectors contribution to the implementation of the Qatar National Strategy for Manufacturing Industries (2018-2022) prepared by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and approved by the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, stressing that the strategy aims at accelerating growth in the manufacturing sector as an engine for economic development and diversification.
Al Kuwari noted that the forum will introduce several industrial investment opportunities (from 6 to 8), especially in polymers (polyethylene), affirming that Qatar enjoys an advanced position in its production worldwide.
A file including all details about these opportunities will be prepared by one of the international consulting firms specialized in the field of implementing economic feasibility studies, he noted.
He added that the forum offers a good opportunity for the private sector to get acquainted with the investment opportunities and their economic viability, thereby directing the private sector in a practical way to the priority industries locally.
He pointed out that a number of technology suppliers related to these opportunities will participate in the forum, calling on businessmen and those interested in industrial investment to participate in the forum and obtain their free copies of the available investment opportunities.
Al Kuwari also expressed his thanks to Qatar Chamber for hosting the press conference, stressing the key role played by the Chamber in encouraging the private sector to play a greater role in the economic development. (QNA)
