Original FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Trophy Promotional Tour Continues

Doha, May 09 (QNA) - The promotional tour of the original version of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Trophy has continued, as part of the promotional plans that precede the holding of the first World Cup in the Arab region and the Middle East.
The original version of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 landed today on the fifth day of the promotional tour at the Student Center at Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, the events witnessed great interest from students, alumni, faculty, and administrators from various universities in Education City.
On this occasion, Head of the Media and Publication Department at Qatar University (QU), Professor Khawla Mortazavi, expressed her happiness with the festive atmosphere that accompanied the promotional tour at the university, which witnessed a wide public interaction.
Mortazavi added that everyone was keen to participate in the promotional tour of the original cup, and to take a closer look, and it reinforced the enthusiastic atmosphere in which we live these days, with less than 200 days remaining until the launch of the largest sporting event in the Arab world and the region.
QU had welcomed the Argentine national teams choice of campus for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as the Argentine national team fell into the third group, which includes Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.
The excitement and anticipation for the 22nd edition of the World Cup increased in the third leg of the promotional tour of the original FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, today, in Msheireb Downtown Doha, which is considered one of the smartest cities in the world.
Hundreds of football fans and enthusiasts participated in the events, which took place in an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and suspense, the organizing committee has allocated a special corner for children with the flags of the qualifying countries for the World Cup, as well as for practicing football skills, in addition to organizing a variety of artistic and musical performances.
The fourth and final leg of today's tour was the Mohammed bin Jassim House located in the Msheireb area in the heart of Doha, where the Majlis is dedicated to various media outlets, as well as many prominent figures in the Qatari community and families to take pictures with the cup.
Tuesdays final event at Katara which will be open to the public will include a memorable stage show and be attended by Brazilian football legend Cafu, twice a winner of the FIFA World Cup.
Deputy Director General, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Khalid Al Mawlawi, confirmed that the invitation is general to attend the special celebration hosted by the Cultural Village (Katara), with the participation of a group of distinguished guests, which includes a number of special events marking the dispatch of the trophy on its global tour. He called on everyone to seize this irreplaceable opportunity to watch the original cup, before hosting the 2022 World Cup in Qatar next November. (QNA)
