HE Sultan bin Ali Al Khater, the Consul General of the State of Qatar in  Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions of the People's Republic of China, held a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The Guest of Honor, representing the government at the ceremony was HE the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong Paul Chan. The function was also attended by Deputy Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong Song Ru'an, HE the Director of the Protocol Department of the Hong Kong Government Judy Li and a number of officials, diplomats and guests.

During their address, the Minister of Finance and Consul of Qatar underlined the deep bilateral relations and strong trade ties between the State of Qatar and the Hong Kong Region.
