The motto for the national day 2018 represents one of the verses from the Founder’s poem, Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed Bin Than, " As long as it was proven by our deeds ", accompanied by the slogan " Qatar remains free’." Thus, the National Day 2018 combines the poetic verses with the national anthem.

Qatar National Day  is a national commemoration of Qatar's unification in 1878. It is celebrated annually on 18 December.
