Doha, February 01 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers issued Friday noted the success of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's Asian tour, which included visits to the Republic of Korea, Japan and the People's Republic of China.

The newspapers said that the tour of HH the Amir has affirmed that the State of Qatar, with its wise leadership and successful and responsible policies, is an important country for the world and an active partner of the international community because of its forward-looking visions of future relations as well as political and economic weight.

Al-Sharq Daily said in its editorial that HH the Amir's Asian tour , which was wrapped yesterday with a visit to China, has achieved a significant success in cementing Qatar's relations with the three countries in different fields.

The newspaper added that China was an important stop in HH the Amir's tour due to the trade, political and investment relations and the and strategic cooperation bonding the two countries on the one hand, and for China's international political and economic importance and weight on the other hand. It referred to the number of agreements and memorandums of understanding that have been signed yesterday between the two countries.

Al-Sharq said that size of agreements and memorandums of understanding signed, as well as the role of this visit in promoting economic and trade relations, will prepare the two countries for a new start in bilateral relations, and to enter into the stage of effective strategic partnership, pointing that China is Qatar's third trading partner and second largest source of imports, while Qatar is the second largest LNG supplier to China. Qatar was among the first countries to exhibit interest in partaking in the Belt and Road initiative, it said.

Al-Sharq concluded saying that positive results of HH the Amir's tour supports and promotes partnerships with these countries for the benefit of all peoples, which is a reflection of Doha's success in expanding cooperation with international and regional partners.

Al-Raya daily said that the Asian tour of HH the Amir has achieved its objectives through the in-depth discussions, agreements and memorandums of understanding that have been signed, and at the same time strengthened the relations of cooperation and friendship between Doha and Seoul, Tokyo and Beijing in various fields.

The newspaper said in its editorial, that the visit has opened new horizons for cooperation between Qatar and the countries it had covered, strengthened Qatar's relations with more countries in the world, and promoted its international presence.

It stressed that Qatar, with its wise leadership as well as successful and responsible policies, is an important country for the world and an active partner of the international community because of its visionary and promising visions of future relations as well as political and economic weight. The results of the tour would, no doubt, be reflected on the ground in the interests of Qatar and its partners and the issues of international peace and security.

Al-Raya stressed that the atmosphere of respect and friendship in which HH the Amir held talks with the leaders and officials of the three Asian countries covered in the tour, underscores the common desire to strengthen existing partnerships and develop opportunities for cooperation, coordination and exchange of interests to serve the interests of all countries and peoples.

The newspaper said that the objective of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's tours and visits to several Asian, European, American, Arab, African and Latin countries is the establishment of multi-dimensional strategic partnerships and broad relations with the world.

It noted that the HH the Amir's talks in the Republic of Korea, Japan and the People's Republic of China were not limited to bilateral dimension of relations and strategic partnerships, but were extended to include the Gulf crisis and the importance of diplomatic dialogue between all parties in addition to key regional and international issues. It pointed out that consensus in the views and positions on the important issues confirms that Qatar is an active and influential player in the international scene.

Al-Raya added that various agreements, memorandums of understanding and cooperation have been signed with the three countries, in different sectors, to benefit the State of Qatar as well as the three countries, which confirms the great confidence enjoyed by Qatar and its wise leadership at the international level despite the unjust blockade.

Al-Watan daily newspaper stressed that the visit of HH the Amir of the People's Republic of China has achieved great success and strengthened the relations between the two friendly countries.

It stressed that the memorandum of understanding and agreements, which signing was attended by HH the Amir and HE President of China would enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of infrastructure. The memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a Qatar-China strategic dialogue mechanism will also contribute to planning and coordination on bilateral relations and cooperation in important strategic projects, and push forward cooperation between the two sides in all fields, it added.

Al-Watan said that the visit has done a lot of good for the State of Qatar, especially after HH the Amir stressed that the joint investments and trade exchange between Qatar and China has increased in the last two years, and expressed hope for further growth of those investments. Al-Watan pointed that HH the Amir expressed confidence in the Chinese economy as well as the Chinese President's vision and plans for the future of the Chinese economy.

The newspaper concluded saying that HH the Amir's visit to china showed the high level of relations between the two countries, the mutual trust between their leaders and the goals the two sides aspire to achieve in order to serve their interests and common goals in all fields, especially in strengthening their strategic partnership.

Al-Arab daily said in its Friday's editorial that HH the Amir's Asian tour, which deepened the relations of the State of Qatar with the Republic of Korea, Japan and the People's Republic of China, represents a link within a specific strategic direction, through which His Highness was able to expand the country's political relations and economic investments with friendly countries on various continents to serve the Qatar National Vision 2030.

It added that, with the grace of the Almighty Allah and then the efforts of HH the Amir, Qatar's international friendships and partnerships are expanding, while those who imposed the blockade on it are receiving defeats and disappointments in political and economic worlds and even in sports.

The newspaper pointed out that the outcomes of HH the Amir's visit to China, including the signing of an agreement and memorandums of understanding in various fields as well as the statements of both sides, confirm that the Qatar-China strategic cooperation is heading towards of a major leap, hat benefits the peoples of the two countries.

It noted the Chinese Premier's description of the Qatari-Chinese relations as "going in the right direction", stressing the importance of maintaining those relations in the light of the many developments taking place in the political arena and noting that the and maintenance of sound development in bilateral relations between Qatar and China is of economic and political benefit to the peoples of the two countries and of the world.

Al said that HH the Amir's remarks came in the same vein, as His Highness has affirmed that the visit would open new horizons of cooperation between the two countries, and explained that the political and economic conditions in all parts of the world require communication and cooperation between the two countries. In this regard, HH the Amir noted China's role in the region, especially the Arab region, expressing hope that China will have a bigger role. HH the Amir also valued China's position on the current Gulf crisis, stressing that the only solution to all differences is through dialogue, the newspaper said.

Al-Arab highlighted the meeting of HH the Amir with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zanshou, who praised the development of the State of Qatar saying it "combines Arab heritage and modern civilization". He praised Qatar's achievements under the leadership of HH the Amir, referring to establishing economic diversification strategy and making Qatar a maritime and financial center in the Gulf region.

The newspaper went on saying that the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress congratulated HH the Amir on the excellent results achieved by Qatar's national football team in the Asian Cup, praising the State's rapid development in the field of sports. (QNA)
