Doha, February 16 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers on Saturday underlined that Qatar's continuous and effective presence in major international forums and conferences affirms the failure of the blockading countries in isolating Qatar, thanks to the rational and wise policy adopted by the State of Qatar in all areas.
In their editorials today, the Qatari dailies highlighted the participation of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in the 55th Munich Security Conference, which kicked off in the German city Friday in the presence of hundreds of world leaders and decision-makers.
For its part, Al-Watan newspaper said that the State of Qatar, under the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, has remained committed to its principles in positively encaging in different international initiatives aiming at making the world a more peaceful place and establishing security components in various societies, through a scientific approach based on sound strategic planning.
The international community attests to Qatar's prestigious status in light of its important regional and international roles and its active participation in all international efforts to promote international peace and security, as well as its respect for the international law, human rights concepts, values and standards, Al-Watan underlined.

Al-Sharq newspaper said that the participation of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in the 55th Munich Security Conference reflects the keenness of the State of Qatar on cooperating with world leaders to discuss security issues and find solutions to the challenges facing the world, especially as the conference is one of the most important international conferences that discuss security and defense policy worldwide annually.
Al-Sharq added that the Qatari-German relations are strong in various fields. After the Munich conference, the joint economic committee between the two countries will hold meetings in the capital Berlin, which will strengthen the bilateral relations. Meanwhile, Doha will host this year the Cyber Security Conference which reflects the strategic cooperation and partnership between Qatar and Munich Conference.
The newspaper said that the talks held between HH the Amir and some of the leaders participating in the conference will enhance and develop the bilateral relations, referring to HH the Amir's meetings with Rwandan President Paul Kagame and Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
