Doha, September 19 (QNA) - In their editorials Thursday, Qatari newspapers highlighted HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's working visit to the French Republic and the United Kingdom, where HH will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
The papers pointed out that after the tour, HH the Amir will head the delegation of the State of Qatar to the 74th session of the UN General Assembly and will deliver a speech during the opening session of the Assembly on Tuesday (September 24).
The newspapers stressed that HH's tour comes within the framework of the State of Qatar's keenness to raise the Qatari-European relations to unprecedented levels, and to strengthen Qatar's relations with various countries of the world to serve the interests of the Qatari people and to harness the Qatari partnerships, especially with the capitals of international decision-making for the stability of the region.
HH the Amir's participation in the UN General Assembly is an opportunity to meet a number of world's leaders and for political consultation with all countries, at the forefront is the situation in the Gulf region and the Middle East, the papers said.
For its part, Al-Watan said that His Highness will hold talks with French President and with British Prime Minister on strengthening strategic relations and bilateral cooperation in various fields of partnership, noting that this will benefit the Qatari people and the friendly French and British peoples.
The daily also underlined that the developments in the region and the world will be discussed between HH and the French President and the British Prime Minister, adding that Doha is a center of great diplomatic and political strength in the region, and can play a major role in defusing the crises surrounding the region, which reinforces the importance of cooperation and exchange of views with the two major and important European capitals, Paris and London.
In conclusion, Al-Watan said that this tour will be culminated next Tuesday when HH the Amir will head the delegation of the State of Qatar to the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, and will deliver a speech during the opening session, a speech that the world awaits every year, because it includes insightful visions and accurate diagnosis of global issues and how to address them wisely to achieve the interests, security and peace of peoples.

Al-Raya underlined the great leaps in the relations between the two countries in all areas of joint cooperation during the last few years, noting the declaration of intent agreement between the two countries which was signed in Doha in February 2019 to establish a strategic dialogue, the matter that represents a qualitative leap for the deep-rooted strategic partnership between the two countries, which includes vital areas of defense, security, health, education, culture, sports, economy, investment and counter-terrorism.

HH the Amir will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace on Thursday and on Friday he will hold talks with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson at 10 Downing Street in London on strengthening strategic relations and bilateral cooperation in various fields of partnership, in addition to exchanging views on the latest developments in the region and the world, Al-Arab noted.
HH the Amir's visit to France and Britain will reflect positively on the interests of the peoples of the three countries, and will calm the situation in the region in general, as Qatar has always called for an end to the wars and conflicts in this vital region of the world, so that people can live a dignified and stable life, away from the destruction and mutual attacks between some parties, the newspaper said.
After this tour, HH the Amir will head Qatar's delegation to the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, which will take place at the UN's headquarters in New York, where HH will deliver a speech during the opening session of the Assembly on Tuesday, Al-Arab added.
It also noted that the blockading countries have bet on isolating Qatar from the world, but HH the Amir led an active diplomatic movement, through visits to many capitals in the five continents, to prove the status of the State of Qatar on the map of international relations, according to a calm, confident and balanced policy.
Al-Arab concluded that during the tours and in front of international forums, HH the Amir refuted the allegations on the basis of which the blockade was imposed on Qatar, its people and its residents and sent strong messages to the international community, affirming Qatar's firm stances towards Arab and international issues, adding that HH's external tours have also launched promising economic partnerships that have strengthened Qatar's regional and international standing.
Al-Sharq newspaper underlined HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's participation in the 74th session of the UN General Assembly which will be held at the headquarters of the organization in New York City in the United States, where HH will deliver a speech at the opening session on Tuesday.
Prior to his participation in the UN General Assembly, HH the Amir will pay a working visit to the French Republic and the United Kingdom, where His Highness will hold talks with French President and with British Prime Minister, the paper said.
HH the Amir's participation in the UN General Assembly, the paper said, comes out of HH's keenness to contribute to all activities, events, dialogues and meetings in this important international forum at all levels, in order to consult and exchange views on issues in the regional and international arenas.
The newspaper pointed out that the issues of the nation come in the forefront of HH's speeches, especially the Palestinian cause, stressing that stability in the region will be achieved only by settling it fairly.
The State of Qatar is keen to emphasize the necessity of establishing a Palestinian State on the borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital, the paper said, stressing that His Highness' speeches highlight the importance of resolving the Syrian crisis in accordance to the will of the Syrian people away from external interference, and that only a political solution that injects the blood of the Syrians and preserves the unity and sovereignty of the country and the stability of the region.
The paper also underlined that the State of Qatar's political rhetoric emphasizes the unity of Yemen and calls on the conflicting parties to reconcile and end the war.
Moreover, the newspaper pointed out that the State of Qatar is keen to find a political solution in Libya, and emphasizes that the political settlement preserves the unity of Libya and achieves the aspirations of its people by implementing the Skhirat Agreement.
The paper affirmed that conflicts and tensions in the world underline the importance of responding to the calls made by peace-loving countries, including Qatar which believes in the importance of dialogue as the best way to peaceful settlement of disputes.
Regarding the phenomenon of terrorism, the paper said that this issue will undoubtedly occupy an important part of the discussions of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, noting the State of Qatar's vision in the importance of addressing the phenomenon and stopping its financing, as well as finding a radical solution to extremism in view of the reasons leading to the growth of terrorism.
Al-Arab, in conclusion, said that HH the Amir's visit to Paris and London is an opportunity to review aspects of relations between Qatar and the two countries and the prospects of developing them in various fields, especially in politic, economy, trade and culture, and an opportunity to discuss aspects of investments, as well as to renew the positions on regional issues of common concern, especially with regard to the war on terrorism and ways to end tensions in the region.
