The State of Qatar announced today that it will donate an additional $5 million to the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund's (GCERF) replenishment campaign.

FIFA has praised the reforms carried out by the State of Qatar in terms of protecting workers' rights since it won in 2010 the right to host the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup, which will be held later this year.

The State of Qatar launched "Scoring For The Goals" campaign at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters, as part of its preparations to host a sustainable version of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which is considered the most sustainable edition in the history of the international event.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched Sunday Twitter and Instagram accounts in French and Spanish to enhance digital communication and introduce the activities and values of Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in both languages.

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Administrator Achim Steiner praised the close strategic partnership with the State of Qatar and its pioneering role in financing the program's projects and enhancing its efforts to reduce poverty worldwide and achieve development and investment in the future.

Since its accession to the United Nations in 1971, the State of Qatar has enjoyed a prominent and distinguished presence in most of the activities of the international organization, especially with regard to humanitarian and development aspects, in addition to its outstanding contributions in supporting international peace efforts to achieve its humanitarian goals.

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani inaugurated the emblem of the State of Qatar in its updated version which aims to create a unified visual identity of the emblem for all state authorities .

FIFA announced that the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup will be brought forward one day and kick off on Sunday, November 20

Director of Air Navigation Department at Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) Ahmed Al Eshaq confirmed the readiness of Qatari air navigation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in a highly professional manner, indicating that all procedures related to the Qatari airspace and the flow of aircraft movement and air control are in line with the requirements of operational intensity during the World Cup.

The Peninsula said in its editorial today that the exports from Qatar continue to show upward trend. The exports have risen consistently throughout the year despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 outbreak, which demonstrates the resilience of local economy.
