In honour of the nation’s great departed leader, the forgiven, by Allah’s will, His Highness The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, The Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Hong Kong announces that a Book of Condolences is available for signing at the Consulate General’s premises on Monday 13 July 2026 between 1 and 3 pm, as well as on Tuesday 14 July 2026 and Wednesday 15 July 2026 between 12 and 3 pm. May Allah encompass the nation’s great departed leader with His boundless mercy and forgiveness, grant him a place in His spacious Paradise among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous—excellent indeed are they as companions—and reward him on our behalf with the best of rewards for the great and enduring deeds he rendered to his nation and to the Arab and Islamic Ummah. May He grant us all patience and solace.

The Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Hong Kong hosted a reception to celebrate Qatar National Day. The event was attended by His Excellency Mr. Joseph Chan, under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, as guest of honor and representative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and His Excellency Mr. Hua You, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong Kong.





Qatar Museums Opens 'Wonders of Imperial Carpets' Exhibition in Hong Kong

Qatar Museums opened 'Wonders of Imperial Carpets: Masterpieces from the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha', at the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) in the People's Republic of China on Wednesday. On view from 18 June to 6 October 2025 at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the exhibition is the first in Hong Kong to present such a comprehensive study of Islamic imperial carpets and the broader artistic exchanges that have taken place across regions for centuries.
