Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs: Qatar is Committed to Continuing Efforts to Achieve Stability, Security in Region

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed that the State of Qatar, under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, is committed to continuing its efforts to achieve stability and security in the region. This came during his participation today, via videoconferencing, in the 7th edition of the Rome MED Conference.






HH the Amir Inaugurates the Arab Cup

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani inaugurated today FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, at Al Bayt Stadium. HH the Amir announced the inauguration of the tournament, saying "In the name of God and with God's Blessings, I declare the opening of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, wishing all national teams well. All Arabs are welcome to the Doha of all Arabs."


Minister of Labour: The State of Qatar is Moving Forward with its Labour Laws Reforms

HE the Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, held a series of meetings with a number of officials from the International Labor Organization, the International Organization for Migration, and other officials; while he affirmed the firm and permanent commitment of the State of Qatar to move forward in cooperation with the International Labor Organization, and continuous coordination with its office in Doha, and stressed that the State of Qatar is proceeding with the approach of the reforms that it has initiated in recent years, which reflects a strong political will to proceed with the development of laws and the legislative system related to labor law and the protection of workers' rights, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.



Minister of Labour Confirms Efforts to Provide Coronavirus Vaccines

HE the Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri confirmed today the commitment of the State of Qatar to support efforts aimed at providing Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccines and their access to all in a fair and equitable manner, pointing out that the State of Qatar provided, within the framework of its efforts more than USD 140 million to support and relief those affected by the pandemic, benefiting 80 countries and many local and international organizations, as well as helping more than 3.1 million people return home.


Sheikha Al Mayassa: Choosing Doha as Creative City of Design by UNESCO is Global Accomplishment

HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, affirmed that Doha designation as a Creative City of Design by UNESCO is a well-deserved and remarkable achievement at the global level, an achievement that is in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and Qatar Museums vision in playing a major role in building a distinguished, innovative, and advanced nation by promoting creativity, cultural knowledge, and interdependence among the people of society.
