Consul General of the State of Qatar Attends the 7th ICAC Symposium

The Consul General of the State of Qatar in Hong Kong, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Sultan Al Kuwari has attended the opening ceremony of the 7th ICAC Symposium on the 22 of May 2019; organized by the Independent Commission Against Corruption ICAC to coincide with the 45th anniversary to the establishment of the commission.


Al Muraikhi: Protection of Human Rights Tops Qatar's Priorities

The State of Qatar has reiterated its continued cooperation with all United Nations human rights mechanisms, in particular the Human Rights Council, to achieve the objectives of the promotion and protection of human rights. This came in a speech delivered Wednesday by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi before the Human Rights Council in Geneva on the "Third Periodic Report of the State of Qatar".


Doha Forum Returns in December to Discuss Governance In a Multipolar World

The Doha Forum's organizing committee announced that the 19th edition will take place in December 14 and 15, under the theme of "Reimagining Governance In A Multipolar World." The annual global policy forum seeks to build on the success of last year's edition, which has seen exciting dialogues with world leaders and enriched by the adoption of the new Partnership Model Forum.



16th ACD Ministerial Meeting Begins

The 16th Ministerial Meeting of the Member States of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), under the chairmanship of the State of Qatar, began here today. HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani opened the meeting by saying that the meeting is taking place when the world is undergoing complex changes and developments at all political, economic and financial spheres, stressing the need to deepen cooperation among Asian countries to meet the challenges of the future.


Deputy Commissioner-General of Qatar Pavilion at Beijing Expo: the Sidra-Inspired Design Reflects Strength and Determination

Deputy Commissioner-General of Qatar pavilion at Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition 2019, Dr. Fayqa Ashkanani, said that the pavilion of the State of Qatar was built on a total area of 2100 square meters while the construction area is 3050 square meters, noting that the design was made by Qatari engineer Fatima Fawzi and took six months of workshops, discussion and exchange of ideas.


Qatar Pavilion at Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Inaugurated

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the People's Republic of China Dr. Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri opened Monday the pavilion of the State of Qatar participating in Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition 2019, in the presence of President of the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) Bernard Oosterom, Secretary-General of the Association Tim Briercliffe, and a number of visitors and media representatives.


Qatar to Host 16th Asian Cooperation Dialogue Ministerial Meeting Tuesday

The State of Qatar will host Tuesday the 16th ministerial meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD). The meeting will be three days long. CERD Sets Special Session on May 3 for Qatar's Appeal against Blockading Countries

The Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD) decided to hold a special session on Friday, May 3, 2019 to hear the State of Qatar' appeal concerning the inter-State complaints against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which imposed discriminatory measures in June 2017 that harmed its citizens.


Newspapers: Fabricated Gulf Crisis Paralyzes March of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Qatari newspapers, Al-Sharq and Al-Raya, said in their editorials Sunday that the Gulf crisis which was deliberately fabricated by the blockading countries and is about to complete its second year, hit the Gulf system in depth and threatened the security of the Gulf States and their ability to face regional challenges or influence in the region.
