HH The Amir Participates in National Sport Day

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani participated on Tuesday morning in the activities of the National Sport Day. HH the Amir practiced walking in Al Bayt Stadium Park's walkway, with the participation of a number of primary schools students, within the context of raising awareness among young people of the importance of sport and encouraging them to adopt healthy lifestyles and take care of physical fitness.


Al-Raya Emphasizes Strength of Qatar's Economy Despite Global Challenges

In its Monday editorial, Al-Raya daily newspaper affirmed that the State of Qatar is continuing to achieve promising growth figures after Covid-19 pandemic that affected the whole world, considering that the recovery of the Qatari economy came faster than expected as a result of precautionary and professional measures taken by the government in order to avoid the economy being affected by the global closures.


"Sports is Life" Slogan for National Sport Day 2022

The National Sports Day Committee announced that the National Sports Day activities will be held this year under the slogan "Sports is Life" to express the importance of dedicating a sports day to the State, and to mark the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the launch of the National Sports Day.






ILO Selects Qatar As Member of Fair Recruitment Initiative Advisory Committee

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed that the State of Qatar is working to encourage youth participation in all stages of peace paths, including decision-making. This came in the inaugural speech of the State of Qatar, delivered today by His Excellency before the High-Level Global Conference on Youth-Inclusive Peace Processes, which is held virtually from January 19-21.
