HH the Amir Participates in the Main Session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani participated in the main session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2021), which took place at noon today in St. Petersburg in Russia with the participation of HE President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, HE President of the Argentine Republic Alberto Fernandez, HE President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro, and HE the Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Sebastian Kurz. HH the Amir delivered speech via video conference.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stressed that the State of Qatar has a wise leadership and a clear vision to be a reliable partner for peace and security in the region and the world, saying that Qatar has been a facilitating country and a mediator between the various conflicting parties and has proven its success for decades in this field, and it is not something new for Qatar but a continuation of the same path. This came during his participation in a session entitled "West Asia and North Africa.. Paths Towards Stability and Prosperity," which was organized by the Doha Forum during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021.

National Museum of Qatar, Microsoft Sign MoU

The National Museum of Qatar, part of Qatar Museums, today announced that it has signed an MoU with Microsoft to enhance the Museums digital-transformation plans and deliver state-of-the-art smart exhibits. The agreement will also help foster the development of a dedicated section that will collaborate with Microsoft's AI digital center to enhance digital learning experiences for schools and families, using technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Al-Sharq and Gulf Times newspapers emphasized the need for community members in the State of Qatar to realize that laxity in precautionary measures increases Covid-19 cases and that the availability of the vaccine does not mean the end of the pandemic.
