National Museum of Qatar, Microsoft Sign MoU

The National Museum of Qatar, part of Qatar Museums, today announced that it has signed an MoU with Microsoft to enhance the Museums digital-transformation plans and deliver state-of-the-art smart exhibits. The agreement will also help foster the development of a dedicated section that will collaborate with Microsoft's AI digital center to enhance digital learning experiences for schools and families, using technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI).



Al-Sharq, Gulf Times Confirm Effectiveness of Qatar's Measures in Curbing Covid-19 Spread

Al-Sharq and Gulf Times newspapers emphasized the need for community members in the State of Qatar to realize that laxity in precautionary measures increases Covid-19 cases and that the availability of the vaccine does not mean the end of the pandemic. The papers noted the start of the gradual lifting of restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic, which represents the first stage of the four-stage plan approved by the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management.


Ashghal Wins European Award as an "Outstanding Organization"

The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' has achieved the "Recognized for Excellence - Three stars" awarded by EFQM as an "Outstanding Organization". Ashghal is the first governmental entity of the sort to achieve this recognition under the new improved "EFQM 2020" model in the region.


Diamond League Doha 2021 Witnesses New Records

Preparations continue at Qatar Athletics Federation to host the Second Round of WANDA Diamond League 2021 (Doha Round), which will be held at Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar SC on Friday. The Round is expected to see the participation of an elite of stars and legends, who will have fierce competitions to qualify for the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo.


Qatar Participates in International Conference on Education for Sustainable Development

The State of Qatar participated in the UNESCO Global Conference on Education for Sustainable Development, under the title "We learn for our planet, we work for sustainability," which was organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research. The conference was held via videoconferencing from Berlin.
