Minister of Public Health Meets WHO Director-General

HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari met on Sunday with HE Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who is currently visiting the country. The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between Qatar and the World Health Organization, and the cooperation between the two sides in helping the Afghan people.




Qatar Airways is the First Airline in the Middle East to Participate in the Coalition

Qatar Airways is pleased to announce its participation on the Global Coalition for Sustainable Aviation of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), becoming the first airline in the Middle East to join the global coalition, reaffirming its commitment to work together with the relevant industry stakeholders, such as manufacturers, academia, governments and non-government organizations towards aviation decarbonization and promoting sustainable air transport.


Katara to Launch Month-Long Football and Fine Art Exhibition from Nov. 18

Sports and art lovers in Qatar will soon witness the excitement of the biggest interactive exhibition that mixes football and fine art, which is being launched by the Katara Cultural Village Foundation, under the title Football and Fine Art. The exhibition will be held from Nov.18 till Dec. 18, 2021.



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs: Qatar and Russia Agree that Humanitarian Aid to Afghanistan Be Independent of Political Developments

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani underlined that Qatar and Russia agree on the need to find a solution to the situation in Afghanistan, and that humanitarian aid should be independent of any political developments, adding that the Taliban should coordinate to secure the exit of those who wish to leave the country.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani participated in the high-level event to celebrate the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, which comes on Sept. 9 of each year. The event was organized by Education Above All, the State of Qatar's permanent delegation to the United Nations, UNICEF, UNESCO, and the Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict at the level of Under-Secretary-General.
