HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani inaugurated the 18th Doha Forum on Saturday under the theme "Shaping Policy in an Interconnected World." President of the Republic of Ecuador Lenin Moreno Garces, Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Ali Khairi, President of UN General Assembly Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces, and a number of their excellencies ministers from different Arab and foreign countries all attended the opening, which took place at the Sheraton Hotel on 15th December.


Qatar, China hold first round of strategic dialogue

QNA/Beijing/The first round of strategic dialogue between the governments of Qatar and China was held Wednesday in Beijing, where the two sides held comprehensive talks on bilateral relations in economic, security, cultural and tourism fields. The Qatari side was chaired by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, while the Chinese side was headed by State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Doha Forum to take place on the 15th and 16th of December 2018

Qatar Decides to Withdraw from OPEC

Doha, December 03 (QNA) - HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Petroleum (QP) Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi announced that Qatar has decided to withdraw from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) as of January 1, 2019.



HH the Amir officially receives hosting mantle of 2022 FIFA World Cup

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani officially received the mantle of hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar from HE President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, in the presence of HE President of International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) Gianni Infantino, in a ceremony which was held in the Kremlin Palace on 15 July.
